The short version

This site keeps only what people type or attach on its quote form. It has no analytics, no adverts and no tracking tools of any kind.

Data controller

Neil Evans runs Wallsend Decking as a sole operator and is the data controller. Questions about personal data can go to hello@wallsenddecking.co.uk.

Boxes on the form

Your name, phone number, postcode and what you are after are required. Everything else, including an email address, the answers about your home, any message and any photos, is optional.

What happens to a request

This site has no decking firm working with it yet. That means a request gets read once and stops there: there is no reply, no passing it on, no selling it and no mailing list. Photos are not published. All of it, photos included, is erased within 30 days.

Storage and lawful basis

Requests land as emails in a Gmail mailbox provided by Google. The website itself runs on UK servers operated by Krystal Hosting Ltd. Those companies store and carry the data and do nothing more with it. Our lawful basis? Legitimate interests, because sending the form shows that you would like your request read.

Your data rights

Using the email address given earlier, you can request a copy of anything held on you, a correction, or deletion ahead of time, and an answer should reach you within one calendar month. Complaints can also go to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
